Wood, Paint
Drawing from the architectural feature of 19th Century North American coastal homes, where the wives of seamen would look out at the sea in anticipation of their husbands’ return, this work is intended as a marker of measurement in time, symbolically examining the vertical rise in sea level as is occurring in our world; a few steps away here, from the impending floodwater.
